Seeing Things

Today I've been bothered by a black grey shape that keeps coming in and out of the vision in my left eye. Looking in the mirror I can't see anything wrong, but searching online it appears I may have a floater.

Looks like it's a time to take a trip to the optician tomorrow to get it checked out incase there is anything wrong with my eyes, as floaters can sometimes be a sympton of another problem.
