Fares Rise Because Of Graffiti
The BBC is reporting that fares on South Central trains to Brighton could rise due to Graffiti.
They currently spend 1.7 million pounds to clean trains per year, though the results are not very obvious in my experience.
However, with the graffiti they expect it to go up to 3 million pounds.
It is annoying and these sort of things get passed on to the customer
, says David Haynes, Head of Security at South Central Trains.
If only they'd spend some of the 25 million pound profit rail earned Go-Ahead last year on better security, or maybe a better Head of Security, they might be able to help prevent the trains being tagged in the first place.
